Dr. Nelson Encarnación is a board-certified vascular surgeon with a special interest in venous diseases and limb salvage.
He graduated with honors from the School of Medicine at the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo (UASD) and completed his vascular surgery training at the Centro Médico Nacional 20 de Noviembre, endorsed by Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), where he served as chief resident.

He is a professor of vascular surgery at Hospital General Plaza de la Salud, actively involved in training future specialists. Dr. Encarnación is also a distinguished national and international speaker, sharing his expertise in vascular and endovascular surgery.

Currently, he serves as General Secretary of the Dominican College of Surgeons and is the President of the Scientific Committee of the Dominican Society of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery. His dedication to advancing vascular surgery through research, education, and clinical practice has made him a leading figure in the field in Dominican Republic.
